Spreading Joy, One Paw at a Time
The STARTRADER team recently paid a visit to Animal & Us Fujairah, not with mere supplies, but with something even more precious, their time and affection. What began as a supply drive soon turned out to be an experience of a lifetime that touched hearts on both sides of the leash.
Giving Back a Worthwhile Cause
Our team gave food, harnesses, and other vital necessities to assist Animal & Us Fujairah with their important work. This community shelter has been doing an incredible job with the lives of rescued and abandoned animals around the region.
Established by Michelle Francis Mathanda, a passionate primary school teacher, Animal & Us started in 2006 when Michelle began rescuing animals and taking care of them at home. As news of what she was doing spread and more and more animals were in need, she made the brave decision in 2016 to lease and convert an industrial warehouse into a full-fledged animal shelter.
Though the donations were significant, the real wizardry occurred when our staff members grabbed leashes and walked the dogs. At first reserved, the animals quickly bonded with their guests, creating pure moments of bliss and contact that recalled everyone to the importance of community engagement.
The warehouse was filled with laughter and the joyful noises of paws on concrete, a relief from the sterile office atmosphere and an opportunity to make a real, personal difference.
Our Commitment Continues
At STARTRADER, we are committed to giving back to our community by supporting causes that enhance it. This Animal & Us Fujairah visit is our continued efforts towards corporate social responsibility and giving to those in need, two legs or four.
The staff came back to work with lighter hearts and a sense of purpose, knowing that they’d actually made an impact. We anticipate having the opportunity to continue to support Animal & Us Fujairah and other deserving causes in our area.
